The nutcracker is a medium-sized songbird with characteristic brown and white speckles on its head and breast, and black wings and tail. This bird species primarily inhabits forests and open landscapes of Europe and Asia, where it mainly feeds on nuts, seeds, and fruits. With its strong beak, the nutcracker can even crack hard nutshells, which earned it its name. As a food specialist, it stores supplies for winter during autumn. By Dessiné et Gravé par Martinet.
