'View of Manor House, Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire. (Formerly the private residence of the Abbot.)' Showing a house on the right, by a river. The Building in the distance is one of Peels Cotton Mills atááBond endá in Blackpool close Built in 1783, it had 8 bays was 120 feet long and 30 feet wide.á The mill has long gone but one identical also built by Peel still stands today (now restored) as part of the Greensmiths Newton Road flour mills, (all now residetial appartments) [Information supplied 2007]. The river bank is also densely covered in trees.
