Broadway, New-York, 1836, by British born American artist, John Hill. The colored aquatint and etching depict the view north, from Canal Street to beyond Niblo's Garden near Prince Street. The print is packed with incidents of traffic, vehicles, buildings, and street life. There are metal dividers between the street and sidewalks, creating a protective barrier against out of control horse-drawn vehicles (aquatint)
