In the same year, in some European cities, with Lea Vergine, she carried out a study on
the artists who work in the historical avant-gardes, creating portraits that would later be
presented at the exhibition "The other half of the avant-garde / The other face of the avant-gardes", at the Palazzo Reale in Milan and at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome in 1980.
In 1998 the Palazzo Reale in Milan hosted a large solo show with more than 300 portraits exhibited, "Miraggi"; twenthy years later, unpublished photographs from the Mulas Archive, are exhibited at Palazzo Morando in the "Obiettivo Milano" exhibition.
In more than 50 years of activity, Mulas has documented the world of culture, art and entertainment: Andy Warhol, Gunter Grass, Umberto Eco, Federico Fellini, Marcello Mastroianni, Liz Taylor, Marina Abramovic, Toni Morrison, Robert Rauschenberg, Jasper Johns, John Cage, Keith Haring and Christo, only a small part of the portrayed characters. ...
