Francesco Ricchino (c. 1509/13–1573) was an Italian Renaissance painter, architect, poet, and academic, active primarily in Brescia. Influenced early on by the school of Gaudenzio Ferrari and later associated with Alessandro Moretto, he became an important figure in the artistic life of sixteenth-century Brescia.

In the 1550s, Ricchino worked at the court of Elector Augustus of Saxony in Dresden, where he was active not only as a painter—particularly of portraits—but also appears to have contributed expertise in architecture and perspective. He is known for designs used in illustrated editions of Martin Luther’s Bible. Returning to Brescia by 1560, he received several significant commissions, including frescoes and large-scale religious paintings. His surviving works include scenes from the life of Moses, a tabernacle for San Filastrio in Tavernole, and religious altarpieces and portraits. He was a member of Brescia’s prestigious Accademia degli Occulti and remained active until his death in 1573.
