Toni Frissell (1907-88) was an American photographer known for her fashion and portrait photography. Born in New York City, Frissell began her career as a fashion model before transitioning to photography in the 1930s. She worked for publications such as Vogue and Harper's Bazaar, and her photographs were known for their elegance and sophistication. During World War II, Frissell worked as a photographer for the American Red Cross and the Women's Army Corps, documenting the experiences of women in the military.
