Connecticut-based artist Mark Maritato brings military historical events alive on his canvases. His original paintings of epic military battles and individual soldier uniform studies reside in numerous private and institutional collections around the world. "I am very thankful to be able to combine my two passions of painting with the study of history and material culture through my work." At a young age his love for art and history led Mr. Maritato to pursue a career as an artist.
