Jules Troncy was a French artist born in 1855. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Lyon and later moved to Paris to continue his studies. Troncy was known for his paintings of landscapes, still lifes, and portraits. He was a member of the Société des Artistes Français and exhibited his work at the Salon des Indépendants and the Salon d'Automne. Troncy's style was influenced by the Impressionist movement, and he often used bright colors and loose brushstrokes in his paintings.
