José María Villafuerte's artistic life has been marked by his cultural studies, his travels to Brazil, his passion for motorsport, and one, hugely influential, meeting in 1990 with Juan Manual Fangio. Year by year, the mutual esteem which these two men held for one another grew into a friendship that eventually made Jose the official artist of the Fangio Museum in Balcarce, Argentina. He has dedicated over sixty works of art to the driver and his extraordinary sports exploits; works which have become an artistic heritage for collections and museums worldwide.
