Doris Clare Zinkeisen (1898-1991) was a British artist and designer known for her work in a variety of mediums, including painting, illustration, and costume design. Born in Scotland, Zinkeisen studied at the Royal Academy Schools in London and went on to become a successful artist and designer, working on projects ranging from murals and stage sets to book illustrations and fashion designs. During World War II, she served as an official war artist, documenting the experiences of women in the armed forces and creating propaganda posters.
