Rolf Adlercreutz (b. 1945) is a Swedish photographer known for his long and varied career in press, editorial, and corporate photography. Trained at photography school in the early 1960s, Adlercreutz began his career as a press photographer and picture editor, including roles at Skåne-Reportage and FLT Telefoto in Stockholm. In the late 1960s, he worked as a freelance photographer in London for Swedish newspapers and magazines, before returning to Sweden to co-found and lead several influential photographic groups and agencies, including Jourfotograferna and SALT.
From the 1980s onward, he Rolf Adlercreutz (b. 1945) is a Swedish photographer known for his long and varied career in press, editorial, and corporate photography. Trained at photography school in the early 1960s, Adlercreutz began his career as a press photographer and picture editor, including roles at Skåne-Reportage and FLT Telefoto in Stockholm. In the late 1960s, he worked as a freelance photographer in London for Swedish newspapers and magazines, before returning to Sweden to co-found and lead several influential photographic groups and agencies, including Jourfotograferna and SALT.
From the 1980s onward, he established himself as a prominent freelance photographer, contributing to publications such as Vi magazine and working extensively in corporate and editorial photography. Adlercreutz was active in professional photographic organizations, serving as Chairman and later Treasurer of the Press Photographers Club (PFK) in Sweden. He also played a key role in Stockholm’s photographic scene as CEO and later Chairman of Galleri Kontrast, a major venue for documentary and press photography.
His work has been recognised nationally, including being named runner-up for Press Photographer of the Year in 1984. ...
