b. 1954<br> Frederick Brosen is a New York based artist who studied at the City College of New York, the Art Students League and the Pratt Institute, where he received a Masters of Fine Art in 1979. His work sits in a photo-realist tradition depicting the urban vernacular of well known street scenes and sights of architectural significance in New York and Europe. He uses photography and sketches as reference to build up his detailed and more colourful studies in watercolour. he was the recipient of the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant and the Lucy B. Moore Memorial Award.
