Andre Devambez (1867-1943) was a French painter, illustrator, and engraver. He was born in Paris and studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts under Gustave Moreau. Devambez was known for his depictions of Parisian life, landscapes, and portraits. He was a member of the Societe Nationale des Beaux-Arts and exhibited his works at the Salon des Independants and the Salon d'Automne. Devambez also worked as an illustrator for various publications, including Le Figaro and Le Rire. He was awarded the Legion of Honor in 1926 for his contributions to French art.
