Frank Dicksee (1853-1928) was an English painter and illustrator known for his romantic and dramatic depictions of historical and mythological scenes. Born in London, he studied at the Royal Academy of Arts and became a member of the Royal Academy in 1891. He was also a member of the Royal Watercolour Society and the Royal Society of Portrait Painters. Dicksee's paintings often featured beautiful women in flowing garments, surrounded by lush landscapes or intricate interiors.
