After attending Camberwell and Hornsey Schools of Art during the 1960s John Lidzey became a graphic designer working for numerous London advertising agencies, studios and design groups. In the late 1960s he began teaching at Camberwell School of Art.<br> <br> When not teaching he systematically worked on his own personal approach to watercolours. Later he moved to Southwark College and in 1987 left art education to devote his energies entirely to painting.
