Born in Cheshire, Rosemary Lowndes studied fine art and design at Liverpool College of Art.<br> <br> As an interior design consultant, she moved to Paris where her oil paintings and drawings were exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Francais and the Salon des Independants. She had her first solo exhibition in Paris at the age of 23. On her return to England, she worked as a graphic designer for china fabrics and stationery.
