“Each painting begins as a feeling, a need to express something. The physical act of laying down those first blocks of colour is a powerful, reality changing statement and observing how those initial strokes of colour interact with each other will guide the initial structure and possible paths that the piece may take. My figures emerge from a process of fragmentation and healing, of grappling with doubt and seeking connection. Each piece is unique; a moment captured, an emotion, a tension between uncertainty and release.”

Magdalena (b. 1974, Lublin, Poland) is an internationally represented mixed media artist. She has a Masters Degree in Art and a Diploma in Textiles.
