Lisa Stokes' practice draws on the fundamental themes of mental health, motherhood and loss. Exploring the physical and emotional experiences when something is destroyed, forgotten or hidden.
Combined with the use of contrasting mediums such as oil paint, oil pastel, ink and charcoal, they are weaved together to create rich textured surfaces.
