I was born into an artistic family; my maternal grandmother was one of the first women students at the Royal Academy Schools and my father was an art director for the British Council and the Radio Times.
I first worked as a graphic designer, at Galeries Lafayette, in Paris, and, following my return to England, became an art editor for the National Magazine Company. Subsequently, I became a photographer's stylist and then moved into art direction for TV commercials until the birth of my youngest child. I have been painting professionally for 30 years and hold regular workshops in my studio.

I produce a wide range of work, including landscapes, still lives, garden scenes and interiors. For me, the common denominator is the spontaneous and informal use of colour and tone. As a painter, I love to try and capture the harmonies of colour and light that surround me in my daily life. I enjoy painting landscapes en plein air and have produced many works on my travels, especially India.
In more recent years, I have moved into portraiture and have had many successful commissions.
As a resident of Bath, I am proud to have been a member of the Executive Committee of the Bath Society of Artists; founded in 1904, the Society has had many distinguished members, including, for example, Walter Sickert. ...
