Harry Burton (1879-1940) was an English photographer and archaeologist best known for his documentation of the excavation of the tomb of Tutankhamun in 1922. Born in Stamford, Lincolnshire, Burton studied photography in London before joining the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Egyptian Expedition in 1913. He worked as the official photographer for the expedition and documented the excavation of several tombs in Egypt, including those of Hatshepsut and Amenhotep III.
