Some Ink Nice is a small, independent design studio founded by me, Mike Davis (hello!).
I hand-draw, paint and produce rich, realistic animal illustrations for people who love colour.
The artworks are fine, acrylic pen drawings, overlaid with thick, vibrant French Sennelier inks. They're like watercolour, but with more body, lustre and a greater depth of colour.
When not painting cute kittens or proud puffins, I work in film as a colourist on the likes of Star Wars, Bond & those Impossible Missions. It mainly involves sitting in studio cinemas at night. The colour backgrounds in the catalogue are added digitally. If you would like to licence an image with a different colour background, do get in touch.
For a small, token fee, I'm happy to amend, add and upload a revised animal image with the hex colour background of your choice.
