French railroad poster
US Civil War, Battle of Shiloh, also called the Battle of Pittsburg Landing, Tennessee, April 6-7, 1862. Corinth Road separated the Union forces under the command of General Ulysses Grant, at right, and the Confederate forces on the left. The commemorative print by published McCormick Harvesting Machine Co. in 1885, features a bright red harvester untouched by the battle. The battle scene was copied from Theophile Poilpot's painting of the battle (lithograph)
