At the age of 15 I began a 3 year Graphics Course at Leicester College of Art. This was followed by a Post Graduate year. In 1966 I moved to London to pursue a career in the Art World. After living in London for a few years I moved back to Leicestershire.

PUBLISHING ....... Some Books are written and Illustrated by myself - Some Books are created in collaboration with a writer - Other Books are written and I am then commissioned to create the illustrations by the Publisher.
Many of the Books have been Published as Foreign Editions Worldwide.
INTERVIEWS, PERFORMANCES & FILMS
1971 - Anderson's Illustrated Extravaganza - This was a 30 second self promotional Animated Film made by Halas and Batchelor.
1971 - Dessa Margarine Animated Advert - This was a 30 second Animated Advert for a Dutch Advertising Agency. Anderson's illustrated Extravaganza and the Dessa Margarine Advert have been donated to The British Film Institute National Archive.
1978 -THE FLIGHT OF DRAGONS ...... A full length 100 minute Animated Film based on the Book was made.
New York based Rankin/Bass was the Film Company who commissioned me to work on the Film which was eventually sold on to Warner Brothers. Backgrounds and Characters were created by me . The Artwork was then sent to New York and then forwarded to the Animators in Japan.
1983 - ' CONTRASTS ' ....... A 15 minute Documentary about my life was filmed at my City Centre Studio in Leicester. It was made by Central TV.
2001 - THE TIN FOREST ....... A Video featuring the Award Winning Book was produced in the USA. The Story was narrated by the Film Actor Jeff Bridges.
2006 - ' INSIDE OUT ' ....... I featured in a documentary about the Award Winning Book Gnomes & Gardens. The program was made by the BBC and the interviewer was Ray Gosling.
2009 - THE TIN FOREST .......' A Puppet Show based on the Book was performed at the Little Angel Puppet Theatre in London.
2014 - THE TIN FOREST ....... The National Theatre of Scotland created a Theatrical Performance based on the Book as part of the Commonwealth games in Glasgow.
2018 - DRAGONOLOGY - MONSTEROLOGY - OCEANOLOGY ...... These are three Titles that include my work and are part of a series of 12 'Ology' Titles which have reached sales of over 15 million copies in 40 different languages. Dragonology remained in the New York Times 'Children's' bestseller list for 76 weeks.
Paramount Pictures have bought the Film Rights and now intend to create an 'Ology' universe on screen and develop the series of Books into 12 Films. Oscar Winning producer Akiva Goldman (A Beautiful Mind and Batman and Robin) Will be creating the Films.
