Olivia Gozzano is both the interpreter and inventor of a unique artistic genre. It blossoms from photography and evolves through pure, living matter, expressing itself with brushstrokes in a blend of transfers and painting techniques. From imagination to canvas, and to other mediums, her art thrives wherever matter intersects with spirit. As a photographer and visual artist, she investigates life's most surprising revelations, composing unconventional impressions of an original contemplation of reality into each piece.

Olivia Gozzano has worked as a professional photographer. Since 2018, after exploring street art and interior design, she has dedicated herself to creating more material-rich artistic works. Her mixed-media pieces combine her own photographs with transferred images, often reclaimed vintage ones, using glue or hot wax, oil and acrylic paints, brushes, spatulas, and varnishes on various canvases, wood, and other supports.
The subjects Olivia investigates inhabit the cosmic, lyrical, and expansive ecumene of time and space, embarking on a dizzying journey between the surreal and the existential. Past, present, and space merge to create dense, sometimes dreamlike and unexpected images—traces of stories lived or yet to be lived.
Based in Milan, Olivia has exhibited internationally, including at the Venice Biennale (2011), the Biennale Internazionale Donna in Trieste (2019), and UN-FAIR art fair in Milan (2022). Her work has also been shown at the Ponzetta Gallery in Pietrasanta, the Bernabò Home Gallery in Trezzo sull’Adda, and sold at the international Setdart auction (2023). Published in Vanity Fair, Elle, and Io Donna, Olivia continues to experiment across mediums, creating striking, contemplative pieces that merge the physical and the metaphysical in unexpected ways.
