Biografia

My work is inspired by traces from the past: fossils, ruins and relics. By collecting fragments, categorizing pieces and imagining missing parts, my works explore the woven history of the earth.

I was born and grew up in Tokyo. I was always interested in how all life started. Curiosity about the beginning of life led me to study chemistry at university. Since then I moved to Cambridge and started developing my career as an artist.

During my time at the Royal College of Art I won the Linklaters Printmaking Award. I also won the Galleries Magazine Award and the London Print Studio Award ...

I am a member of the Royal Watercolour Society and the Society of Graphic Fine Art.
